How We Got Ourselves Featured In Forbes & Industry Publications

Here at Go Amplify (aka Renown’s sibling before the brand split), we were so focused on growing clients’ visibility that we almost forgot to market ourselves.

The strategy

This led to a question we couldn’t shake: Is there a link between ADHD and marketing roles?

To find out, we ran a LinkedIn survey asking marketing professionals if they’d been diagnosed with ADHD or identified with common ADHD characteristics. The results were eye-opening:

  • 38% of respondents had been diagnosed with ADHD.
  • 77% resonated with at least 4 ADHD traits.

From these insights, we developed a compelling story about why ADHD traits, like hyperfocus, creative thinking, and boundless energy, could be a marketing superpower.

We developed a tailored press release that reframed ADHD traits, such as hyperfocus and creative thinking, as potential assets in high-pressure marketing environments.

With the assets in hand, we ran targeted outreach to national and trade journalists, adapting the angle to suit each publication’s audience.

The campaign was timed to maximise relevance, and the story quickly gained traction with high-authority press.

The Results

The campaign struck a chord, earning coverage in Forbes, ADHD Online, Startups Magazine, and other industry-focused publications.

Not only did this effort boost Go Amplify’s visibility, but it also started meaningful conversations about neurodiversity in marketing.

The cherry on top? We proved that even agencies can take a moment to amplify themselves – and have a little fun doing it.
